Meet Penny!

Penny is a sweet 9 year old Golden Retriever mix that was diagnosed with Protein Losing Enteropathy (PLE) at AMCS in September 2017. Along with medical management, Penny also receives laser therapy of her abdomen twice a week with our Internal Medicine department. Her second treatment was on Halloween, so she came in dressed up as Fozzie Bear from the Muppets for her appointment.

She looked so cute; we had to snap a picture of her. We also snapped a few of her receiving her laser treatment to show everyone what a good girl she is!

AMCS is excited to add laser therapy as a treatment option for your pet. Laser therapy (also sometimes referred to as cold laser therapy) can be used for many different conditions, including protein Losing Enteropathy and Irritable Bowel Disease, to reduce inflammation. This can be used in conjunction with medical management to provide a non-invasive, pain free option for our patients.
