Dr. Diane Carle and her dental veterinary technician, Sara, went to Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest in Cle Elum, WA, to take intraoral radiographs and perform an oral exam and teeth cleaning on Burrito, a 36-year-old chimpanzee. Burrito came from a research lab and now is part of a seven chimpanzee group at the sanctuary. The sanctuary provides a lifetime home in eastern Washington for previously abused and exploited chimpanzees. They rely mostly on donations from individuals to support their work. You can make a donation at https://chimpsnw.org/donate.
We are all so proud of our dentistry team for volunteering their time to help out!
