Mochi, the adorable three-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, was referred to our emergency service after she developed aspiration pneumonia. Aspiration pneumonia is an infection of the lungs from inhaled foreign material. Aspiration pneumonia can get very bad very quickly, so she was admitted into our ICU for care. Although she wasn’t a fan of her e-collar, which she wore to make sure she didn’t chew on her catheter and bedding, she was a very good patient for her treatments, and got plenty of attention from everyone at AMCS. How could you resist, she’s absolutely adorable! After a couple of days in our hospital, Mochi improved and was able to go home with her family!
