Galaxy is an adorable two-year-old Miniature Australian Shepherd who was referred to our emergency service for acute renal (kidney) failure. The exact cause was unknown, but toxin ingestion was suspected. Galaxy was treated with IV fluids, antibiotics, and pain medications and spent seven days in our Intensive Care Unit. Galaxy was understandably homesick during his extended stay with us, so we wanted to make sure he still received all of the love and attention that he is accustomed to at home.

We are all so happy Galaxy recovered and was able to go home to his family and continue his training to become a search and rescue dog. Thanks for the snuggles Galaxy!
