Licensed Veterinary Technicians & Veterinary Assistants – Oncology

AMCS is looking for friendly, and career minded Licensed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants to join our expanding and progressive Oncology Department in providing specialty animal care in Shoreline, WA. Our doctors, support staff, and managers all work together to provide the most comprehensive care and customer service for our patients, clients and the referring veterinary community.

Successful Veterinary Technician applicants will require the following experience, skills, and training to be considered:

  • Currently licensed or eligible to become licensed as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Washington; VTS credentialed technicians, or those interested in pursuing obtaining VTS credentials are encouraged to apply.
  • Has successfully completed and graduated from an accredited veterinary technician program OR has “grandfathered in” and successfully challenged the VTNE to obtain credentialed status.
  • Has at least one year of experience in the field of Veterinary Oncology or another specialty.
  • Displays competency in the general knowledge and nursing skills required to care for oncology patients.
  • Is able to bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods of time; can individually and frequently lift patients and inventory up to 40 pounds.

Successful Veterinary Assistant applicants will require the following experience, skills, and training to be considered:

  • Has completed a basic High School level curriculum and received a diploma or GED.
  • Has at least one year of veterinary experience (Oncology or other specialty experience preferred).
  • Displays competency in the general knowledge and nursing skills required to care for oncology patients.
  • Is able to bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods of time; can individually and frequently lift patients and inventory up to 40 pounds.
